Secure Payments
Simply Baby is committed to online security. When you order with us we protect you in a number of ways. Firstly, any data you provide us with is encrypted using a Thawte SSL (Secure Socket Layer) session, which stops internet messages being intercepted. Secondly, we use Protx payment system which means that we do not have access to your bank details, making the payment system highly advanced in terms of security.
How the Protx Payment System works
Protx has achieved the highest level of compliance under the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI). Protx adhere to the most stringent levels of fraud screening, ensuring that customer details remain secure throughout the transaction process.
1. The customer selects the goods they wish to purchase and enters their order and delivery details.
2. The customer's credit card details are captured securely by Protx.
3. The credit card details are securely transmitted to the merchant's bank.
4. The merchant bank sends the credit card details to the customer's card issuer who authorises or declines the transaction.
5. The merchant bank then sends the transaction results back to Protx.
6. Protx sends the authorisation results to the customer and the merchant to confirm the results of the transaction. The entire process takes 2-3 seconds to complete.
Settlement
The funds from all processed transactions are sent to the merchant bank for settlement at the end of each day. The merchant bank then collects the funds from the card issuer and pays them into the merchant's bank account.
